Every December or January I collect one from W H Smith, or I am lucky to find one in a local charity shop. I was given my first book by my mother in my 20s. They are wonderful calming influence during the day. The second book in the Spenser series is called “God Save the Child”. In this story, we find Spenser trying to uncover the mystery of a teenager’s disappearance.
